2015 has already seen various exciting golf tournaments take place at Aphrodite Hills Resort, the highlight being the recently held Qatar Airways Golf Open.
The Qatar Airways Golf Open took place on April 4, 2015 with the day’s play having started with a 09:00 shotgun. The Open was an individual stableford event, with men playing from the White Tees and ladies playing from the Blue.
There was excitement and anticipation ahead of the event, with players battling it out for a return business class flight to any flight operated by Qatar Airways. The favourable weather and quality course condition led to an entertaining day of scoring and a very closely fought event.
“We are really pleased to have Qatar Airways on board for 2015. We thank them for their contribution to sport and particularly golf here on Cyprus,” stated Andrew Darker, golf director at Aphrodite Hills Resort. “With more than 140 destinations globally to choose from, I am sure many of our golfers and residents will take advantage of Qatar Airways’ first class hospitality and renowned quality of service on their next long haul trip!”
Following the round all players enjoyed a buffet lunch at the Clubhouse.
