Blue Air inaugurate new Larnaka – Birmingham route

Romanian airline Blue Air inaugurated its new Larnaka – Birmingham route on March 26 with a “successful flight”, according to posts on the carrier’s social networks.

“We haven’t finished inaugurating new routes! This Sunday, 26th March, Blue Air had its first successful flight to Birmingham from Larnaka, bringing yet again two countries closer together!” read a post on Blue Air’s Facebook profile.

Larnaka Tourism Board reacted to the announcement on Twitter, tweeting: “Welcome to Larnaka! Looking forward to welcoming travellers from Birmingham.”

Blue Air responded to the welcoming post from the region’s tourism authority, posting: “Thank you for the warm welcome! It is a pleasure to be here.”

The Larnaka – Birmingham route is scheduled to be flown thrice-weekly (on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays).

Blue Air currently allocates two aircraft to its Larnaka base, flying directly to five destinations, namely: Bucharest, Athens, Thessaloniki, London Luton and Birmingham.
