Cypriot airline Cobalt has announced that UAE capital Abu Dhabi is the newest destination on its growing international route network.
According to a post on the airline’s official Facebook page, services will operate on a three-time-weekly basis.
Flights departing from Larnaca to Abu Dhabi are scheduled to begin on February 25, 2018 and will operate each Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, according to the airline’s website.
Travellers from Abu Dhabi wishing to travel to Cyprus can expect to do so from February 26 each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
In other news, Cobalt also announced that its entire inventory (including Athens and Thessaloniki) will be available on GDS distribution systems from January 2018.
Initially connections will be via Sabre GDS, however the two-other major GDS systems will follow in the Spring.
Cobalt said it will not charge travel agents any connection fees or fare surcharges.
“Our aim is to make it as easy as possible to book and manage a Cobalt flight, from whichever sales channel a customer chooses,” read an official statement.
Domestic Sales boss at Cobalt, Maria Salata, added: “We are delighted to continue to develop our cooperation with travel trade partners in our home market of Cyprus.
“As overseas carriers withdraw booking connectivity tools, we are very happy to step-in and restore them.
“We look forward to further developing our already strong relationships throughout 2018.”
