The Cyprus Tourism Organisation has revealed that its participation at the European Travel Commission General Assembly in Belgrade, Serbia was a success.
Held between October 7 to 9, Annita Demetriades, deputy director general at Cyprus Tourism Organisation participated at the event which raised various discussions such as joint promotions, visa issues, research and development.
There was also an analysis on current critical developments such as the Syrian refugee crisis, conflicts and the destruction of cultural heritage. It was stressed that these issues should be addressed with a common voice from Europe.
Additionally, Demetriades presented a paper on Cypriot hospitality and proposed that the next European Travel Commission General Assembly (April 2016) to take place in Cyprus which was warmly accepted by all participants.
“This development is a great success and honour for Cyprus and it once again certifies the appreciation and trust the European Travel Commission enjoy in Cyprus,” read an official Cyprus Tourism Organisation statement.
