Edelweiss Air has announced that its flight frequency to and from Larnaka International Airport will be expanded during the upcoming winter months.
Departing from Zürich Airport the Edelweiss Air flights to Cyprus are among the carrier’s most popular routes, as highlighted by Andreas Meier, head – corporate communications at Edelweiss Air who told Cyprus Traveller: “Cyprus is one of the main markets of Edelweiss Air so we want to invest long-term in the future in this destination and expand our flight schedule, in accordance with demand.”
Flights to the island are operated with Airbus A320 aircraft, and Meier stressed that the airline will continue to offer year-round services for its passengers: “Cyprus is a core market for the Swiss holiday travellers. Therefore, this market has been served by Edelweiss Air for years. As we see Cyprus as a year-round holiday destination for Swiss travellers, Edelweiss Air has operated, since last winter (2014), this destination year-round.”
