Etihad Airways has been ranked the 20th most sought-after employer in LinkedIn’s 2015 100 Most InDemand Employer in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) list.

The ranking is based on employer brand awareness and the billions of interactions from LinkedIn’s more than 380 million members. Businesses are ranked according to the number of users who view profiles of their employees, connect with their employees, visit or follow their company pages, and view or apply to job postings by the company.

LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network on the Internet, announced the rankings at its 2015 Talent Connect conference held in London. The airline made it to the top 25 EMEA list alongside notable companies like Google, Apple and Unilever. Etihad Airways was ahead of global brands such as Nike, Burberry and Twitter.

Ray Gammell, chief people and performance officer at Etihad Airways, stated: “We are delighted to receive this marvellous recognition for the second consecutive year. This means that Etihad Airways has built one of the strongest talent brands in EMEA based on its engagement with LinkedIn’s members. Etihad Airways is an employer of choice and our highly engaged and motivated employees have been the cornerstone of our growth.

“This acknowledgment showcases our focus on building a winning culture for our employees that offers challenging roles, encourages a culture of performance and provides career progression opportunities. We offer our more than 25,000 people from over 140 nationalities a number of unique employee benefits, including an on-site nursery, ambulance service, a full-service medical centre, flight benefits, accommodation assistance and education support.”

With more than 240,000 followers, Etihad Airways’ LinkedIn page communicates the airline’s employer brand proposition to attract and recruit talented professionals. People following the page learn more about the airline’s values and culture, and develop a better understanding of what it is like to work at Etihad Airways.
