LOT Polish Airlines will utilise its new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on the Warsaw – Larnaca route from January 1, 2018, according to the airline’s official schedule.
Planned operational routes and effective dates remain subject to change, however, passengers flying between Poland and Cyprus can expect to serviced by the new plane.
Flights on the Warsaw – Larnaca route are serviced six-times-a-week, except on Thursday, with the flight time expected to take three hours and 20 minutes.
“Mediterranean climate and ancient architecture. Discover the charms of Aphrodite’s island and fly with us to Larnaca,” reads a description from LOT Polish Airlines on its Cyprus flights.
In October 2016, LOT Polish Airlines agreed to lease up to 11 Boeing 737 MAX 8s for delivery from 2017-2020.
The 186-seat aircraft is configured in a three-class layout featuring Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class.
LOT describe the new aircraft type as using 15 per cent less fuel compared to the current 737 variants and 40 per cent noise reduction compared with other similar aircraft.
