Nicosia’s A.G. Leventis Gallery travelling to Oroklini Village

Nicosia’s A.G. Leventis Gallery will be travelling to Larnaka’s Oroklini Village as part of its tour across the island which aims to develop cultural activities and reach communities that do not have easy access to cultural events.

A.G. Leventis Gallery, alongside the Education and Culture Ministry and local authorities, will be conducting a programme targeting cultural decentralisation that will be on display at Oroklini Community Council on September 26, 2015 from 10:00 to 19:00.

Among the highlights at the event, paintings depicting the history of still life and flowers inspired by the Cabinet of Curiosities from 17th century Dutch society will be unveiled, alongside interactive presentations, workshops and lectures addressed to all ages.

The A. G. Leventis Gallery is home to three collections: the Paris Collection and the Greek Collection, acquired by Anastasios G. Leventis himself, and the more recent Cyprus Collection.
