Pafos is the 10th most popular destination for Greek travellers during this year’s Day of the Holy Spirit holiday according to global hotel search website, trivago.
Falling on Monday June 1, 2015 the Day of the Holy Spirit has provided an opportunity for travellers to enjoy a three-day getaway, and with the weather already hotting up as summer approaches, it’s a chance many have taken to enjoy some excursions and day trips.
trivago observed searches conducted between January 1 and May 19, 2015, for travel taking place between May 29 and June 1, 2015, with a minimum stay of two nights.
Despite falling down two places on last year Pafos still made the top 10 with Greeks choosing Mykonos and Nafplio as their top two destinations for this religious holiday celebration. Athens was third, followed by Thessaloniki, Rome, Spetses, Istanbul, Parga and Agistri.
Outside the top 10 Andros ranks 11th with Monemvasia following and the second Cypriot destination, Protaras, ranked 13th with Santorini and Syvota completing the top 15.
