Thanos Hotels has recently hosted 30 individuals made up of journalists, editors and travel agents in Stockholm to showcase the best of the hotel group’s culinary offerings.
Aveqia – a well-known relationship-building gastronomical meetings place – played host to this foodie extravaganza, and the event began with an outline of what Thanos Hotels, and Pafos has to offer – its people, culture, history; stunning landscape and unspoilt beaches, and, of course, the sunshine.
“Like any hotel, it is important that the culinary aspects speak for themselves. As such, the food and wine culture that exists at Thanos Hotels was not only explained and described but also demonstrated, with dishes created, tasted and devoured by the attendees,” read a Thanos Hotels statement.
A team of chefs from Thanos Hotels cooked up a feast in front of guests, who then practised replicating these dishes under the watchful eye of the professionals. The food was matched by Thanos’ dedicated and charismatic sommelier, George Kassianos, who gave an insight to the vibrant wine culture that exists in Cyprus, as well as introducing Annabelle’s 30th anniversary wines, course by course.
