Thomas Cook Airlines announced it will launch new flights to Cyprus from London Luton, Leeds Bradford, Bristol and Birmingham for Summer 2018.

With over one million British travellers visiting the island so far this year, news such as this is clearly demonstrating how more and more UK tourists are choosing to visit Cyprus for their holidays.

Flights from London Luton to Larnaca Airport are set to begin on May 23 and will be a weekly service each Wednesday.

Thomas Cook Airlines passengers can expect to travel from Leeds Bradford to Larnaca each Wednesday, starting on May 2.

Services from Bristol Airport to Paphos are scheduled to begin on April 27 and will be weekly each Friday.

From Birmingham to Paphos, Thomas Cook Airlines is due to fly every Friday starting from March 30.

The news comes after the Thomas Cook Group is also set to welcome two new properties into its Cyprus hotel portfolio from Summer 2018, with Sunprime Protaras and SunConnect Sofianna Resort.

NEW ECONOMY SERVICE

Passengers travelling with Thomas Cook Airlines to Cyprus will be able to experience the carrier’s new Economy PLUS product.

Economy PLUS passengers can expect to receive a priority security lane and check-in, an additional four kilogrammes hand luggage allowance, 25kg hold luggage, in-flight drinks and a James Martin-inspired meal.

Travellers on this service can also expect to receive access to Thomas Cook’s mobile in-flight entertainment service, Sunstream.

Seats and legroom haven’t changed size, however, the UK travel giant added that Economy PLUS passengers have the option to reserve a seat of their choice.

“The flight is such an important part of the travel experience, so we wanted to make sure that our customers have a choice between a price-sensitive offering like our regular Economy Class, as well as a more inclusive package that offers greater relaxation,” said Product chief at Thomas Cook Airlines, Andy Gillies.

“With Economy PLUS, customers will be able to board faster, take more with them, and relax in-flight from start to finish.”
