Thomas Cook has announced plans to develop its own-brand hotel portfolio with a further 11 new hotels set to join its portfolio. In total, 20 new own-brand hotels open between now and Winter 2018-19.
Cyprus is set to welcome two new Thomas Cook properties into its hotel scene from Summer 2018, with Sunprime Protaras and SunConnect Sofianna Resort.
Sunprime Protaras is an adults-only hotel with 110 rooms.
Tailored to adults travelling without children, Sunprime Protaras is expected to offer guests design-led rooms, pools, a gym, spa facilities, restaurants serving authentic cuisine and activities to suit those looking for a relaxing break or those who want to be more active.
SunConnect Sofianna Resort is a 167-room Paphos-based hotel which is, according to Thomas Cook, “perfect for families looking for fun beach getaways.”
Additionally, “special activities for children and teens combine with spacious swimming pools and family-friendly rooms to provide action and excitement for all the family.”
Sunprime Protaras and SunConnect Sofianna Resort join Thomas Cook’s extensive Cyprus portfolio with over 20 hotels across Ayia Napa, Larnaca, Limassol, Nissi Bay, Paphos and Protaras.

The new hotels announcement follows the recent introduction of Aldiana, a premium club and activity-focused tour operator and hotel management company, as a new own-brand to Thomas Cook.
Aldiana currently operates eight club resorts located in Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Tunisia and Austria, with plans to open another four resorts over the next two years.
The Aldiana acquisition brings the addition of its eight club resort properties to the Thomas Cook own-brand hotels portfolio.
Aldiana’s Cyprus portfolio includes the Alaminos-based Aldiana Zypern, or Aldiana Beach Hotel.
