Global hotel search website, trivago, has released findings from its latest hotel price list covering the average overnight accommodation costs across Cyprus.
The largest increases recorded, when comparing hotel prices in March and April this year, occurred in Limassol with a 17 per cent increase. However, when comparing this month’s prices with April 2014 a three per cent decrease was recorded.
The second highest increase between March and April this year was found in Tochni at 16 per cent, with no change in price when comparing April year-on-year.
Pafos (13 per cent), Agia Napa (11 per cent) and Larnaka (10 per cent) recorded price increases between March and April, while Peyia (nine per cent), Kakopetria (six per cent) and Nicosia (one per cent) saw a decrease in average hotel prices.
When comparing April year-on-year Peyia recorded a huge 38 per cent decrease in prices, while Pafos (11 per cent), Kakopetria (eight per cent) and Agia Napa (seven per cent) also saw decreases. Nicosia (seven per cent) and Larnaka (two per cent) where the only areas to record an increase when comparing April 2014 with the same month this year.
