Wizz Air to fly travellers from Cyprus to Austria’s capital, Vienna

Wizz Air will launch a new route between Larnaca and Vienna, Austria’s capital, from November 25.

The upcoming low-fare Wizz Air connection provides four weekly frequencies on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Responding to customer demand, Wizz Air is further diversifying its network from Cyprus this year, offering 14 routes to 10 countries available from Larnaca International Airport, that will further contribute to increasing inbound and outbound tourism and improve business ties between the countries.

Sorina Ratz, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air, commented: “We are thrilled to announce today our 14th WIZZ route from Larnaca to Vienna.

“Underlining our commitment to the country, we look forward to continuing our fruitful partnership with Larnaca International Airport and remain committed to bring even more exciting opportunities that can best meet our Cyprus customers’ needs.

“Additionally, we have recently announced the new upcoming route that will connect Larnaca with the British capital – London, next spring. Our dedicated crew looks forward to welcoming each WIZZ passenger with a smile on board of our modern Airbus A320 aircraft!”

Maria Kouroupi, Senior Marketing and Communications Manager at Hermes Airports, added: “Austria is one of the developing markets in which we can see important opportunities and development prospects.

“Vienna is progressively becoming a favourite destination for Cypriots and for this reason we are really pleased, as Cypriots will now have the opportunity to enjoy more frequent trips to Austria.

“Wizz Air’s affordable fares, convenient flight schedule and excellent service will ensure the success of this new route.”
